2021 Cross Country

 

We were very lucky with the weather on Friday and our first Cross Country at Owairaka Park took place. It is wonderful to be able to use this park in our backyard!

Thankyou to all the parents who came along and supported us and congratulations to all the children who participated by either walking or running the 1.44km cross country.

Eden / Albert Football Tournament

  Well done to all the boys (and girl, thanks J'Varn) who represented Owairaka in the Eden Albert Football Tournament. We were up against some top grade teams and more than held our own over the four games we played. 

They also showed great resilience and fair play.

Many thanks to all the parents who helped with transport and came along to support.

All games are played at Windmill Park, Windmill Road, Epsom. Please be at the court at least 15 minutes before you are due to take the court.

Year 3 Miniball Team

 Congratulations to our Year 3/4 Mini Ball team on having a great first coaching session at Unitec. After doing some warm up and some dribbling drills, they played 4 games. 

Gyzharn was very active and was player of the day. He will receive a certificate from Mr Windsor. 

Eden / Albert Basketball

 On Tuesday our team represented Owairaka at the Eden Albert Basketball Tournament at UNITEC. Congratulations to them all on their performance, coming 3rd in their section and 6th overall (out of the 11 schools that participated).

A special mention must go to Brianna and Paeton who had to play every game without a sub. I was also very proud of the way the boys supported the girls, especially in defence. Well done!!
