Winter Netball Competition

There are still a few spaces available for any Year 3/4 or Year 5/6 girls wanting to play after school netball at Windmill Park this winter.
The Year 3/4 team will play on Thursdays and the cost per player is $40.
The Year 5/6 teams will play on Wednesdays and the cost per player is $51.
Please see Maria Mudgway (Year 3/4) or Nicole Mills (Year 5/6) if you wish your child to participate.

Auckland Rugby League After School Sessions

Auckland Rugby League is inviting boys and girls in years 3 to 6 at Owairaka School to attend our ARL Game Changers Afterschool Sports Programme. Game Changers is a non-contact sports programme that incorporates a wide variety of sports and is designed to give young people the opportunity to experience outdoor activities through enjoyable games.

The Auckland Rugby League Development Team will be delivering sessions that are structured around fun and inclusiveness. Auckland Rugby League would like to confirm that all children are invited, regardless of playing and sporting ability.

When: 3:15pm to 4:15pm

Date - 6 consecutive Monday's starting the 6 May (Term 2, Week 2 to Week 9) (Week 5 03/06 is a Public Holiday)

Cost: Free

For further information please collect a registration form from Rachael in the office. All registration forms must be returned to the office. There is a maximum of 30 spaces for this programme and children will be accepted on a first in first served basis.

YMCA LUNCHTIME GYMNASTICS UPDATE - available for all ages

YMCA Mt Albert will be working with Owairaka School during Term 2 to provide lunchtime express classes in gymnastics.

Activity Day - Mondays Year Level - All Years Total Programme Price $84.40

This programme will begin on the week of Monday 6th May. There will be no class on Queen's Birthday Monday 3rd June. The last class will be week of Monday 1st July.

If you are interested in this programme, please follow the steps below. Remember, if you have already registered with Aimy Plus, login and follow form step 4

1. Head to our booking website - ymcakidsrec.aimyplus.com

2. Register as a new parent

3. Register your child

4. Under the Bookings tab, click Make a Booking

5. Under Programme Venue, select 'KRP @ Mt Albert Community and Leisure Centre'

6. Select the school lunchtime programme. This is at the very bottom, named 'TERM 2

Alternatively, you can register in our centre: YMCA Mt Albert Community and Leisure Centre, 773 New North Road, Mt Albert (behind Rocket Park).

Eden Albert Touch Tournament

Congratulations to our touch team who represented Owairaka at the Eden Albert Schools Touch Tournament today. The team played 5 games; we lost 2, drew 2 and won our last one 3-0. We may not have won all our games but we had to be the happiest team there today, with our music and our singing and dancing. Thanks to Tarsh for volunteering your time to coach the children and to Harle who stepped up to referee all our games today.

YMCA LUNCHTIME GYMNASTICS for Year 4 - 6

The Mt Albert YMCA are offering 8 lunchtime sessions of gymnastics to Year 4 - 6 students who are interested. Please collect a notice from Rachael in the office if you are interested

Winter Netball

Tomorrow, Friday 5 April, is the last day for payments for girls wanting to play in the Year 3/4 team at Windmill Park on Thursday afternoons next term. The registration fee of $40 can be paid to Maria Mudgway in Room 21 or to Rachael in the office. Spaces are limited for this team.
The registration fee of $51 for Year 5/6 girls is also due tomorrow. Please give your payment to Nicole Mills in Room 24 or Rachael in the office.
